Last week I we got the news that my office would be closed until at least June…
JUNE!!!
How insane is that??? The last time I was in the office was March 10 and it’s absolutely insane to me that I will end up going almost a year and a half working fully remote. But, after talking to some friends around the country, this actually seems to be pretty standard across the board. (Still wild to me though…)
Because of this, I’m back to obsessing over all things cozy and decided to put together a Cozy at Home Gift Guide for all of you to enjoy as well. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or friends, this guide is sure to have something for everyone.
This gift guide ended up being a bit larger than I anticipated, so I tried to break it up into more digestible categories for you.
Enjoy!

Loungewear
Slippers
- SOSUSHOE Women’s Slippers: I bought these a couple months ago after another blogger I follow wouldn’t stop raving about them, and I was surprisingly not disappointed! When I first saw that she had ordered slippers from Amazon for under $30, I figured they would be poorly made and would flatten out within a couple days…boy, was I wrong! I wear these almost daily for hours at a time and they still feel as good as they day I got them! I also love that they have a rubber sole so I don’t need to worry about ruining them if I need to head outside with the dogs. The price ranges by color and size, but only by a couple dollars. I have them in the khaki color and they run pretty true to size (I’m typically an 8 and ordered the 8-9 size).
- LL Bean Wicked Good Moccasins: Once upon a time, these were handsdown my favorite slippers of all time. They were comfy, sturdy, and when I lost one of the laces LL Bean was quick to replace it. The only reason I got rid of them is because I adopted Henry, who quickly decided that they were his favorite chew toy. But, when I went to order a new pair I discovered…
- LL Bean Wicked Good Camp Moccasins: …These!!! When it was time for a new pair of slippers, these happened to be on super sale and I just couldn’t pass them up (when I say super sale, I mean I think I paid $20 for a pair of blue ones that they had on clearance at the time. Seriously too good to be true.) These have all of the comfort of the other moccasins with a bit more functionality. The thicker sole has incredible traction that even holds up pretty well on ice, and you don’t need to worry about the fur on the outside getting ruined by rain or snow like you do with the moccasins. I also wore them on Mark and I’s one camping trip and they were perfect for cold nights up in Maine. Both pairs of Wicked Good Slippers run true to size.
- Cat Paw Fuzzy Socks: No Cozy at Home gift guide would be complete without fuzzy socks, and I couldn’t resist including these adorable cat paw ones. You. Are. Welcome.
- Sherpa Lined Slipper Socks: If cat paws aren’t your thing, here are some more classic looking fuzzy socks. They are lined with sherpa AND they have little grippy things on the bottom so you don’t slide all over the place.
Under $100
- prAna Becksa 7/8 Leggings: These are normally $89, but REI is having a pretty big sale on them right now and you can get them for about $62. One reason I love prAna is because they often use recycled materials, so they are a better option for the planet. These leggings are high waisted and also have UPF 50+ fabric to protect you from the sun.
- prAna Becksa Bralette: You really shouldn’t get the leggings without the matching bralette if you’re going for that full, cozy at home feel! This is my go to bralette on the now rare occasion that I bother boxing the girls in. (This is also on sale at REI right now!)
- Stars Above Beautifully Soft Pajama Set (Target): I have this particular set and the shorts version in multiple colors and I love them all. The first set I bought was actually to wear the morning of my wedding and they were absolutely perfect! They’re soft, classy, and not too warm to wear to bed. If you have thicker thighs like me and prefer a looser fit, definitely go up a size or two.
- Stars Above Beautifully Soft Shorts Pajama Set (Target): The exact same set as above, but with shorts! In the summer they normally release a style with a short sleeve top as well, so keep an eye out for those to come back if that’s more your jam.
- Stars Above Perfectly Cozy Lounge Jogger Pants (Target): I bought these pants right at the start of quarantine and quickly made at least 6 of my friends go immediately buy a pair. These are SO FREAKIN SOFT!!! There’s nothing else to say about them other than the fact that they’re as soft as cashmere without the cashmere price and they last! Sometimes soft clothing like these pill a lot, even after the first wash, but these have held up fantastically!
- Stars Above Perfectly Cozy Lounge Pajama Shorts (Target): I realize that I have a lot of Target’s Stars Above collection on this gift guide, but I own all of the pieces on this list and I’m obsessed with every single one! If shorts are more your thing, these shorts are the exact same material as the pants above, just in shorts form.
- prAna Rogue Long Sleeve Top: Another prAna option made of recycled materials, this top is perfect for home OR going out. The spiced wine is a great option if you’re looking for a more casual holiday look this year.
Splurge Worthy
- Free People Bicoastal Set: I got into soft rompers and jumpsuits pretty early into quarantine, mainly because I didn’t think anything else would fit me when we eventually went back to work. This Free People set is no exception AND it comes with a matching duster! Definitely a pricy option, but I love that you can easily wear these sets around the house or out in public.
- Free People Hailee Sweater Set: This is definitely one of the pricier items in this gift guide, but I promise it is 100% worth it! I have this set in a light beige color that unfortunately is no longer available and I wear it ALL THE TIME!!! It’s like being wrapped in a not-too-hot blanket and is the best loungewear set I own. The top itself also looks really nice as a casual sweater over jeans or shorts, so it’s like getting two outfits in one! *Sizing note: It runs super big so size down.
- Patagonia Better Sweater 1/4 Zip Fleece: I now own three of these, and I have every intention of buying another one this year! They’re warm, they’re flattering, and they last forever! About a year ago Patagonioa also revamped the way they are made and they’re now made with 100% recycled polyester fleece, dyed with a low impact process to reduce waste, and fair trade certified sewn. The other great thing about Patagonia is that they have a program called Worn Wear where you can most of their products in gently used condition, further minimizing the impact you’re making on the planet! I’m personally a fan of the 1/4 zip, but they also offer the exact same sweater in a few other styles if you prefer something like a zip up. (One word of advice, if you are looking to buy one brand new, REI normally does a huge sale on them right around this time of year so keep an eye out for that!)
- Softies Marshmallow Slouch Turtleneck Set (Target): Another set that has a top that could easily be paired with jeans to wear out of the house! I don’t personally own these (yet) but the reviews seem to be good and it looks super cozy.
For the Home
- Beeswax Candles: The very definition of hygge and coziness includes candles, but if you’re anything like me you know that traditional candles release harmful toxins into the air. Beeswax candles are nothing like that! They are natural air purifiers, so you can still get that same hygge effect without the toxins. This Black female-owned company has some great options, and I just LOVE their name (Mind Your Own Beeswax).
- Baby It’s COVID Outside Mug: Did you really think I would do a gift guide without at least ONE silly, COVID related item???
- Cozy Cabin Gift Basket: This is the perfect one stop shop for providing a special lady in your life with a cozy night at home. It comes with a blanket, slippers, two scrunchies, a candle, four pairs of socks, and a basket.
- Chunky Knit Blanket: Can you even have a complete, cozy night at home without the trendy chunky knit blanket??? As someone who has made a few of these by hand, do yourself a favor and just buy one already made. The yarn is expensive and unless you can find it on super sale, you’ll ultimately be spending more to make it by hand than if you just bought one already made. You can definitely find some of these at Target, but you can get the same thing for about the same price (sometimes cheaper) from a small Etsy business instead. The prices tend to vary by the size of the blanket, but you’re sure to find something that works for you. Just make sure you read the reviews first! This one linked here is rated 5 stars and has over 20,000 sales.
- Get Cozy Wooden Sign: The perfect sign to hang in your bedroom or living room as a little reminder to snuggle up and get cozy! The price varies by size.
- Chunky Knit Throw Pillow: You can’t have the chunky blanket without the chunky pillows to match, can you??? I personally love these ones I found on Etsy, but you can also find a cheaper covers for the pilows you already have on Amazon (like these ones.)
- Twinkle Light Wall: Because I got quite a few questions about how I achieved my twinkle light wall in my post from yesterday, I wanted to link everything here because I truly believe that twinkle lights can make ANY room cozy. I ordered these curtain lights and hung them up with mini Command Strip hooks, then placed these white, gauzy curtains over them to soften the look just using basic Command Strips. Make sure you measure the wall you plan on hanging them on first to make sure you order enough to cover the whole thing! I ordered three sets of lights but only ended up needing two of them.
- Warm & Cozy Mug: You can’t really consider yourself “cozy” without a hot cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa. So consider a winter themed mug to really add the finishing touch!
